We are thrilled to announce our line up of Parent Education classes! These workshops and courses will support parents in setting up helpful home routines, offer tips for implementing developmentally appropriate, peaceful parenting techniques, and encourage connection between families in our Tacoma community.

Bringing the Classroom Home

July 30th  --  6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Parents are often surprised to hear the many wonderful things their children do at school. As much as I would like to pretend teachers have the magic touch, we don’t. But, I do have a set of classroom management tips that can easily be applied to your home environment and daily rhythms. You’ll walk away from this workshop with easy, immediate changes you can make that will help your child pick up their toys, get dressed in the morning, and clean the house!

Tricky Conversations: A Discussion for Parents

July 9th -- 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Where do babies come from? When will you die? Will there be a shooting at my school? Why is that kid so mean to me?
Hearing these tricky questions from your children can feel like a gut punch. But when the stakes are high, our answers mean more than ever. How can we guide our children through a world that can be scary and confusing, even for adults?
Join us to learn what the experts say about tough topics. Then, we'll have a discussion with parents in our local community and share our own thoughts, stories, and advice.

$10 per person

Complimentary tickets are available to parents in financial need. If you would like more info, please email info@tacomachildrensschool.com .
